In the glory days of Caribbean trade the “family” estate, a beautiful mansion in the Old City, became the lifework of your great grandparents who found a special space for all the things they acquired from their travels. Mirrors from Venice, Persian carpets from Morocco, chandeliers from eastern Europe…

The Family also became a patron for some of Puerto Rico’s most heralded master woodworkers. Post beds dressed and draped in elegant fabrics, beautiful armoires with mirrors, all skillfully handcrafted by wood masters like Margarida and Marini. Beautiful antiques by Vidal and Pacheco adorn the library and the twelve seat dinning room.

Casa Herencia is located adjacent to El Convento Hotel and The Children’s Museum in one of the most beautiful and quiet residential areas of the city. Within walking distance you can find excellent restaurants, shopping, art galleries, tennis courts, museums, the Governor’s Mansion and Gardens, and El Morro Fortress.
